- Delete smcexit key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARESymantecSymantec Endpoint ProtectionSMC
- Delete smcinstdata key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARESymantecSymantec Endpoint ProtectionSMC
- Run “smc -stop” at command prompt (run as Administrator)
- Uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection using Program and Features (in Control Panel)
